Shoes = Infections?
Shoes can potentially carry under the soles of bacteria that it is better not to have at home, like the E.coli bacteria that we find in particular in the stools of dogs, which can be pathogen for humans. However, the majority of strains being part of this bacteria are harmless.

The microbes penetrate into the body through the mouth, nose or eyes. So many organs that are never directly put in contact with the microbes on the ground, and that shoes can transport. Thus, the probability of catching an infection via your own shoes or those of your guests remains very low.
So why continue to take off?
