Until now discreet on the electric two-wheel market, Honda is preparing to enter the race with its first electric motorcycle.
The venerable Japanese brand took advantage of the EICMA show to unveil the EV Fun Concept, probably a provisional name for an electric motorcycle whose marketing is planned for 2025.
A range of 100 kilometers
Honda describes it as a sporty model. equivalent to a mid-sized internal combustion engine motorcycle “. The EV Fun Concept plays on a minimalist style which takes up some elements of the Honda aesthetic signature.

According to the manufacturer's brief technical description, it is equipped with a rear single-sided swingarm with belt transmission, radial front brake calipers and an inverted fork.
Honda does not mention the performance of the engine, but specifies that the fixed battery will offer 100 kilometers of autonomy, which is intended for mainly urban use. Additionally, the motorcycle will be compatible with CCS2 fast charging technology which is used by electric cars. This last point is important because it guarantees access to almost all existing charging stations.
An EV Urban Concept electric scooter
Honda also unveiled an electric scooter, the EV Urban Concept, whose styling is reminiscent of BMW's CE 04. No technical details are available at the moment, but the manufacturer says it wants to rebuild ” from A to Z Honda's vision of what urban electric mobility should be. » No price has been announced for either the EV Fun Concept motorcycle or the EV Urban Concept scooter.
