China Unveils First Constellation of Innovative Satellites

China is embarking on a new space project

It is not a secret for anyone, China aims to become the world leader in artificial intelligence by 2030. The Chinese government is doing everything to apply AI in various activity sectors, and it has just proven it.

12 satellites have already been launched

Indeed, the first mission called 021, successfully launched 12 intelligent satellites on a single orbit, through a long rocket March 2D, which took off on May 14 from the launching center of Jiuquan satellites, in northwestern China. According to Xatakaeach of the satellites has an intelligent computer system, namely a space computer developed by Zhejiang Lab, accompanied by an AI model of 8 billion parameters.

They have inter -satellite connections up to 100 GB/s. For comparison, the best connections that operators offer are “only” of 8 GB/s. To them all, they form what ADE Space called the “three -body calculation constellation”, the first orbital calculation constellation in the world, which will directly process the data in space, which will be independent of land infrastructure.

The missions of this constellation

Still according to Xatakathe 12 satellites will have many missions. They will thus be responsible for detecting gamma rays, generating 3D digital twins from entire regions, who are in reality dynamic and real -time virtual representations of physical territories. They will also be responsible for remote sensing and monitoring of natural phenomena.

Ada Space is also working on more efficient and larger satellites. As part of the “Star-Complete Program” program, the Commercial Company and Zhejiang Lab aims to set up an immense orbit network, with the construction of no less than 2,800 satellites.
