Behold the Barracuda’s Swift Strike: A True Torpedo in Action!

A video shows the barracudas supersonic attacks

It is no longer to prove, animals are able to move at impressive speeds. We obviously think of the cheetah, which can go up to 110 or even 130 km/h, making him the fastest terrestrial animal. But the one who broke all records, not taking into account the living environments, remains the pilgrim's hawk, with a speed that can go to 390 km/h when he dives into a dive.

Barracuda who is talked about. Indeed, a video shows it hunting a prey, with an impressive look. If at the beginning the fish moves calm and slowly, it suddenly accelerates when it sees what represents a feast for it. But despite an attack at nearly 58 km/h, he failed to achieve his ends.

A formidable predator

The Barracuda, also called the Grand Barracuda, is a fish that can be found in the waters that extend from Australia to Hawaii, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. It is easily observable when we do diving, since it lives in shallow waters and close to the surface, even if it is possible to observe 100 meters deep.

Many Barracuda attacks are identified, although the latter are rarely fatal. Carnivore, it is known to be a formidable predator with lightning attacks, feeding on fish (as on video), but also cephalopods and crustaceans.

But contrary to what the famous cartoon “Le Monde de Nemo” suggests, the Barracudas do not feed on clownfish. If in the feature film we see one of these fish attacking Marin and Coral, the parents of Nemo, as well as eggs. A situation which, in reality, is not likely to happen soon since the barracudas are not predators of this species, unlike other larger fish, such as living rooms, flying rascasses, or even eels.
