What is the origin of this mysterious brick path?

A brick path discovered in one of the largest underwater reserves: papahanaumokuakeaa
This submarine nature reserve is one of the largest in everyone. Located 3,000 meters deep underwater, its exploration is a real adventure. To date, only 3 % has been explored.
However, scientists seek to increase this figure. The last success in this area was the mapping of the mountain range of the Liliʻuokalani crest. It occupies the colossal surface of around 32,000 km2.

The main goal of the expedition, called “Luʻuaeaahikikekumu”, is to collect samples. The latter will estimate the age of the ridge of Liliʻuokalani. Answering this question could make it possible to elucidate more about the geological origin of the Hawaiian islands.
